$95 This is a compilation of my favorite mixed media techniques and my obsession with painting patterns. Do you have to paint a checkerboard floor? No. A floral pattern, stripes, circles, any pattern will work here to frame your figure. We’ll use some easy techniques to create a strategic background and add our figure silhouette with negative space painting. You’ll have a fantastic figurative painting even if you don’t have a lot of experience drawing people.

Supplies Needed to bring for Class:

180lb watercolor papers 2 or 3 sheets approximately 9x12”
Fussy (small) scissors
Your favorite acrylic set
Brush set tiny to large
Any colored pencil set you have- Prismacolors, Inktense, anything
Regular pencil
Ruler
An image of a person from a magazine or a photo you printed just make sure it has a nice silhouette with an interesting pose and make sure your figure fits on a 9x12” substrate.
